Nick Cannon: Mariah Carey Expecting twins!

Nick Cannon officially confirmed that Mariah Carey is expecting twins on his 92.3 Now radio show Thursday (December 16)!

"In order for my wife and I to have our life, we need to be up front and I need to be able to share things with you and be real. I didn't even tell my wife I was gonna do this. I'm probably gonna get yelled at for not getting permission...We are having twins!" the 30-year-old dad-to-be admitted.

Nick also revealed that the first folks in the world to know about the twins other than Nick and Mariah were President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

When Mariah was performing for a White House Christmas special in Washington, the 40-year-old singer shared the happy news with the President and the First Lady backstage.

"They actually even questioned my wife about, you know, ‘So, what are you having, are you having twins?’ And at this point she hadn’t told anybody anything because doctors advised us to keep it to ourselves until we [got] further along. And because of the excitement [and] emotion, she was overwhelmed [and] shared with the President and First Lady that we are having twins." Nick said.

Mariah Carey Confirms Pregnancy

Mariah Carey has finally confirmed that she and husband Nick Cannon are expecting their first child!

After months of speculation, the 41-year-old singer made the announcement that she is pregnant on The Today Show Thursday morning, saying “Yes, we are pregnant. this is true. It’s been a long journey. It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy.”

During a sneak peek of Mariah's Access Hollywood three-part interview with Billy Bush, the singer revealed that she had miscarried nearly two years ago. "It kind of shook us both and took us into a place that was really dark and difficult. When that happened... I wasn't able to even talk to anybody about it. That was not easy."

Mariah said she is due in spring but refused to reveal the exact date.

Husband Nick Cannon, who wed Mariah in 2008, added: "The greatest gift on earth is a child. We’ve had names picked out from the first day we met and we want to stay true to that”.

Mariah Carey Reportedly Pregnant With A Baby Boy!

Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon are reportedly expecting a baby boy!

While Mariah and Nick, who wed in 2008, haven’t yet come out and confirmed the pregnancy news, sources said the 40-year-old diva is indeed pregnant, even she is expecting a baby boy.

"She's having a boy,” a source close to the singer/actress told HollyBaby, "but the reason that Mariah didn't want to say anything is because she is 40, and she's superstitious."

According to the insider, Mariah is expected to make an official announcement in the next couple of weeks when she begins promoting her new holiday album, Merry Christmas II You, which is being released on Nov. 2.

"She's going to appear on 'Oprah' and 'The View,' so she's planning on making the announcement soon." the source said.

Nick Cannon Plans Eagle Surprise

Nick Cannon wants to give his wife Mariah Carey a "bald eagle".

The US rapper - who married the 'Touch My Body' singer last April - has revealed he is planning to give his wife a surprise gift for her 39th birthday on Friday (27.03.09).

But Mariah might be in for a shock, because as well being an endangered species, a "bald eagle" is also a slang term for someone with shaved pubic hair.

When asked what he was going to buy Mariah, Nick laughed: "I think I was going to get her a bald eagle or something. Yeah, they sell them bald eagles still right?"

Impressed by his own quip, Nick, 28, has named himself the "chairman of comedy".
He laughed: "Here's how we do it. I'm the chairman of comedy. Like any joke, I get money off of anybody telling jokes, from any joke ever told."

Nick is set to host the upcoming series of US TV show 'America's Got Talent'.

Mariah Carey Visits Fertility Clinic

Mariah Carey has been visiting a fertility clinic.

The 38-year-old singer and her husband Nick Cannon - who married last year following a whirlwind romance - were seen leaving a Beverly Hills' Southern California Reproductive Center last week, where they reportedly met with a prenatal specialist.

Nick and Mariah are trying anything and everything to conceive. After almost a year of trying to natural way, they visited a fertility clinic to help make their baby dream come true.

Mariah is said to be desperate to give birth before she turns 40 next March.

The renowned centre is one of the leading in vitro fertilisation (IVF) clinics in California.

Jennifer Lopez - who has one-year-old twins Max and Emme - is said to have been a previous patient.

The couple have made no secret of their desire to start a family, with Nick admitting he wants a large brood.

He said: "We'll multiply. That's what's got to happen."

Mariah has also revealed she is ready to become a mother, but finds the constant speculation about whether she is expecting tiresome.

She said: "I don't like to talk about it too much. I just think about it as the next phase. We'll see.

"I've changed my mind about becoming a mother because I'm with 'The One'. I think we would make good parents, and that we'd be able to figure out how to do it properly."

Nick Cannon likes being known as "Mr. Carey".

The actor-and-rapper - who married Mariah Carey following a whirlwind romance last year - doesn't mind when people say his wife is more famous than him, claiming he just takes the teasing in his stride.

Asked how he feels when people say cruel things about his wife, Nick replied: "My heart goes out to my wife every time she has to hear something like that. I don't care about nothing, I'm just silly. I make fun of me all the time, I'm like, 'Call me Mr. Carey, who cares?' "

Nick added he feels "blessed" to be with Mariah.

He told US TV show 'Extra': "I'm blessed to have a partner that's truly one of those people that affect the world."

Mariah was equally as gushing about her husband, revealing the secret to the couple's happy relationship is that they are not afraid to tell each other exactly how they feel.

She said: "The secret to me is realising when you meet the right person and being brave enough to dive in and say this is the right person for me. We have fun like nobody's business."
