Mariah Carey headlined TNT’s “Christmas in Washington” TV special over the weekend.
Mariah performed two songs “One Child” and “O Come All Ye Faithful” during the event. The 40-year-old pregnant singer also shared the happy news that she and husband Nick Cannon are expecting twins with the President and the First Lady backstage.

Nick Cannon officially confirmed that Mariah Carey is expecting twins on his 92.3 Now radio show Thursday (December 16)!
"In order for my wife and I to have our life, we need to be up front and I need to be able to share things with you and be real. I didn't even tell my wife I was gonna do this. I'm probably gonna get yelled at for not getting permission...We are having twins!" the 30-year-old dad-to-be admitted.
Nick also revealed that the first folks in the world to know about the twins other than Nick and Mariah were President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
When Mariah was performing for a White House Christmas special in Washington, the 40-year-old singer shared the happy news with the President and the First Lady backstage.
"They actually even questioned my wife about, you know, ‘So, what are you having, are you having twins?’ And at this point she hadn’t told anybody anything because doctors advised us to keep it to ourselves until we [got] further along. And because of the excitement [and] emotion, she was overwhelmed [and] shared with the President and First Lady that we are having twins." Nick said.

During a sneak peek of Mariah's Access Hollywood three-part interview with Billy Bush, the singer revealed that she had miscarried nearly two years ago. "It kind of shook us both and took us into a place that was really dark and difficult. When that happened... I wasn't able to even talk to anybody about it. That was not easy."
Mariah said she is due in spring but refused to reveal the exact date.
Husband Nick Cannon, who wed Mariah in 2008, added: "The greatest gift on earth is a child. We’ve had names picked out from the first day we met and we want to stay true to that”.Congrats again to the happy couple!

While Mariah and Nick, who wed in 2008, haven’t yet come out and confirmed the pregnancy news, sources said the 40-year-old diva is indeed pregnant, even she is expecting a baby boy.
"She's having a boy,” a source close to the singer/actress told HollyBaby, "but the reason that Mariah didn't want to say anything is because she is 40, and she's superstitious."
According to the insider, Mariah is expected to make an official announcement in the next couple of weeks when she begins promoting her new holiday album, Merry Christmas II You, which is being released on Nov. 2.
"She's going to appear on 'Oprah' and 'The View,' so she's planning on making the announcement soon." the source said.

Eminem has released a new track called The Warning in response to Mariah Carey and her latest video Obsessed.
The rapper threatens to release more details of his relationship with ex Mariah before she met and married Nick Cannon in the rant.

Can you recognize the person in the picture above? It’s not rapper Eminem, but pop singer Mariah Carey! The wife of Nick Cannon dressed up as the controversial rapper Eminem while filming her new video, Obsessed, Monday in New York.
Eminem has talked about his alleged romance with Mariah on his song titled Bagpipes From Baghdad with the lyrics “Mariah whatever happened to us. Why did we ever have to break up? Nick Cannon, you better back the f---up. I’m not playing, I want her back…”
Now, Mariah, who previously denied the romantic relationship with Eminem in 2001, has fired back. She sings in Obsessed with the lyrics "Why are you obsessed with me/lying that you're $exing me?”.
Mariah Carey made a radio debut this afternoon for Obsessed, the first single from her upcoming album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, which is due out August 25 this year.
