However, all is well, because Rihanna had a very good excuse. According to a source close to Perry, she was finishing an album and had just hired a new manager, the combination of which threw her schedule off.
Apparently Perry, one of the world’s top pop music and fashion stars, saved a place for Rihanna, just in case, but she knew it would be difficult for her to make it. Perry and British comedian Russell Brand were wed in Northern India in a lavish ceremony. For the part of the ceremony presided over by a Christian minister, Perry wore a couture dress by fashion designer Elie Saab.
